Bio: Bobby Bilbo, Yacht Broker
Bobby's love for the ocean developed at a much later date than most. Growing up in Olney, MD and an only child in a golfing family, there was never much time in the summer months to get away. Through his golfing ability, he was able to travel quite a bit and was a scholarship golfer at the University of Maryland. He discovered Southeast Florida in some of these travels and moved to Jupiter, FL after graduating college to pursue a professional golf career. During those first years in Florida, Bobby had the opportunity to fish often and it was at this time that he knew he would always live near the ocean (and probably never leave South Florida!). After a handful of years playing the South African PGA Tour, various mini-tours in the US, trying to earn his PGA Tour card and teaching at the PGA National Academy of Golf he decided it was time to move on and had an opportunity to sell new boats. From this point on, his passion for boats and yachts of every kind has kept him involved in the yacht brokerage industry.
Although his rounds of golf are fewer and farther between these days he remains a scratch golfer and still enjoys the teaching aspect of the game. Bobby currently lives in Tequesta, FL with his wife, Kim and baby boy, Jack. He enjoys fishing, cruising and free diving the waters of South Florida and the Bahamas whenever possible.
